You Can Stay in a Hotel Room With a Giant Godzilla Roaring Outside Your Window

If you’ve ever wanted to wake up face-to-face with Godzilla, Tokyo has exactly what you’re looking for.
Located in the heart of Shinjuku, Hotel Gracery Shinjuku has become a bucket-list destination for kaiju fans thanks to the massive Godzilla Head perched atop the hotel’s eighth floor. Standing roughly 12 meters (39 feet) tall, the iconic statue overlooks the city and comes to life throughout the day with roaring sound effects and illuminated eyes.
But the real attraction is inside the hotel.
According to Hotel Gracery Shinjuku’s official website, guests can reserve Godzilla View Rooms, which look directly out at the towering creature, as well as fully themed Godzilla Rooms featuring exclusive décor, artwork, and monster-themed details inspired by Toho’s legendary King of the Monsters.
The hotel recently expanded the experience even further with a brand-new Godzilla vs. King Ghidorah Room, created to celebrate the hotel’s 10th anniversary. According to the official announcement from Godzilla.com, the interactive suite recreates the battle between the two iconic kaiju and lets guests experience the showdown from inside the room itself.
The Godzilla Head first debuted in 2015 and has since become one of Tokyo’s most photographed attractions, drawing fans from around the world looking to spend a night in the shadow of cinema’s greatest monster.
The timing couldn’t be much better, either. Takashi Yamazaki‘s highly anticipated Godzilla Minus Zero stomps into North American theaters this November, making a stay at Hotel Gracery Shinjuku feel like the perfect pilgrimage for fans celebrating the King’s latest return to the big screen.
You can learn more and book the Godzilla-themed rooms through Hotel Gracery Shinjuku’s official website.
