‘The Blair Witch Project’ Reboot Emerging from the Woods In 2027

Excited for The Blair Witch Project reboot from Lionsgate and Blumhouse? It may be coming sooner than you think.
In a chat with Indiewire, producer Jason Blum discussed both Blair Witch and the next Paranormal Activity movie. “They’re both coming out next year. Blair Witch and Paranormal.”
There you have it! Of course, anything can happen, but as of now, it sounds like we can expect Blair Witch sometime in 2027.
Dread was able to confirm that the film will revolve around a family that goes on a camping trip but goes missing one by one after they hear strange noises in the forest.
Dylan Clark (Portrait of God) is set to direct the project from a script by Chris Devlin. Clark marks the latest YouTuber to catch Hollywood’s attention.
Lionsgate and Blumhouse are partnering on the next Blair Witch, much like the forthcoming new Saw entry. Jason Blum will team with producer Roy Lee (The Ring, Godzilla, It) on the new Blair Witch.
Stars of the 1999 The Blair Witch Project, Joshua Leonard and Michael C. Williams, as well as the film’s directing team of Eduardo Sánchez, Daniel Myrick and Gregg Hale, are all aboard as executive producers.
The original film became a huge success, convincing many viewers that it was real footage about a trio of friends who go missing after their search for the infamous Blair Witch. I’d say we were a lot more gullible back then, but…
So, get ready to head back to the woods with The Blair Witch Project in 2027.
