Hayden Panettiere “Would Be Thrilled” To Return In Another ‘Scream’ Film
Hayden Panettiere became an instant Scream franchise favorite with her role in Scream 4 as Kirby. The witty character with a deep well of horror movie knowledge was so beloved, that, after seemingly perishing in the film, fans demanded she return for years. Her listing off a series of horror remakes to Ghostface remains iconic. With Scream VI, that finally happened. And the actress isn’t done with the franchise yet.
While speaking with THR about her new book, This Is Me: A Reckoning, Panettiere had this to say when asked about Scream: “It took a couple films for them to bring me back into the Scream franchise. And obviously, I wasn’t in the last one, but I’m still alive and kicking in that universe so I would be thrilled to come back whenever.“
This statement came following the interviewer’s surprise at the fact that Panettiere has a “no kill” clause in her contract regarding Scream. Meaning, she can’t officially be killed off. So, no Dewey fate for her.
Whether or not any of this means the actress will return to Scream is up in the air. But, with fan support strong enough that Panettiere managed to get a no kill clause, well, it’d be surprising if she weren’t back to scream once more.
