Paramount Has the ‘Passenger’ Killer Lurking in Front of a Billboard

Paramount Pictures hits the road this weekend with Passenger, their latest horror film in a string of smash hits from Smile to Scream and Primate.
This one kicks off a few weeks into their van life adventure, where a young couple witnesses a horrific accident that leaves the driver dead. Soon they’re being pursued by a demonic stalker who’s impossible to outrun and follows them wherever they go.
In a genuinely fun promotional stunt, the stalker has been spotted pacing in front of real billboards, lurking silently, and staring down passing pedestrians and drivers. Take a look here.
The film stars Jacob Scipio, Lou Llobell, and Melissa Leo.
Director André Ovredal became a horror name with his 2010 found footage Trollhunter and the classic The Autopsy of Jane Doe (2016), and would go on to direct two criminally underrated horror films: Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark (2019) and The Last Voyage of the Demeter (2023).
Paramount Pictures will drive Passenger into theaters on May 22, 2026.
