‘Scary Movie’ Featurette Takes Viewers BTS on the Wayans Family Affair [Watch]
A Wayans film is a family affair, as discussed by the filmmakers in a new Scary Movie featurette that takes viewers behind the scenes on what it’s like being on a Wayans Brothers set.
In the video, we hear from each and every member of the Wayans’ family in the cast, along with a few new clips spoofing films such as Get Out.
“A Wayans movie ain’t a Wayans movie until you have multiple Wayans’ in there,” says Marlon Wayans in the below video.
Adds Gregg Wayans when asked what uncle the script for Scary Movie feels most like, “definitely Marlon. I call it ‘Shorty Movie 6′”.
Marlon Wayans (Shorty), Shawn Wayans (Ray), Anna Faris (Cindy), and Regina Hall (Brenda) reunite in Scary Movie alongside returning favorites and fresh faces to slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and every “final chapter” that absolutely isn’t final. Nothing is sacred. No trope survives. Every line gets crossed. The Wayans are back to cancel the Cancel Culture.
Paramount Pictures will release Scary Movie in theaters everywhere on June 5, 2026.
