Paul Feig to Direct ‘Fatal Attraction’-Style Thriller, ‘Persona’

20th Century Studios has just won a massive auction for the novella, Persona, giving up a 7-figure deal for the project, via Deadline.
There aren’t any plot details at this time, but the outlet describes the story as, “a Fatal Attraction-style thriller with a very modern twist”.
For those who don’t recall, Fatal Attraction was a 1987 erotic thriller starring Michael Douglas as a man who begins an affair with a woman (Glenn Close) only for her to begin stalking he and his family.
Marc Guggenheim (co-creator and EP of “Arrow”) wrote the novel. Paul Feig (The Housemaid) has been tapped to direct.
It seems Feig has found himself a home in the erotic thriller genre, having made a smash hit with The Housemaid and already working on that film’s sequel. If Persona can manage to deliver similar campy thrills basked in 90s-style eroticism, I’m all the way in.
Stay tuned to Dread for more details as we learn them.
