‘The Mortuary Assistant’ Director to Go ‘Faceless’ with Next Supernatural Horror Feature

Jeremiah Kipp, director of The Mortuary Assistant, is adding a new face to terror with his next film, Faceless, via Cambodian outfit Sastra Film International, reports Deadline.
Based on a story by Sastra Film founder Bun Channimol, the film “follows a group of YouTube ghost-hunters who encounter an evil force in the Cambodian jungle.”
Bella Mraz, James Preston, Holley Johnson and Ryan Bertorche star.
A filmmaker of numerous shorts and a handful of horror features, Kipp began to catch more attention from fans with Slapface, which debuted on Shudder. That project then lead to an adaptation of the video game, The Mortuary Assistant, which also landed on the genre streamer. While I’m personally not much of a fan of either, Faceless sounds intriguing. After all, who doesn’t like seeing obnoxious ghost-hunting YouTubers come face to face with the real thing?
The outlet notes that Sastra plans on producing a slate of English-language horror films designed specifically for global audiences, with five titles planned for 2026.
Stay tuned to Dread for more details on those titles as we learn them.
