‘Scapegoat’ – Scarlett Johansson Joins Ari Aster’s Mysterious New Movie
Scarlett Johansson has joined Hereditary director Ari Aster‘s upcoming film, Scapegoat, reports Variety this morning.
Per usual with Aster’s work, the film is blanketed in mystery, without any plot details at this time. But, as always, you can bet it will be on the stranger side.
Aster’s previous film, Eddington, proved that much with its wild blend of politics and paranoia.
As far as genre rolls go, Johansson starred recently in the disastrous Jurassic World: Rebirth, and just wrapped production on Mike Flanagan’s The Exorcist (a project I seriously cannot wait to see).
Lars Knudsen will produce Scapegoat for his Square Peg label.
A24 will once again distribute the film.
