‘Orphan 3’ – Susanne Wuest of ‘Goodnight Mommy’ Joins the Cast
Hiding within a report for the film Sundowning this morning was some casting news for William Brent Bell‘s Orphan 3…revealing that Susanne Wuest (Goodnight Mommy) has joined the cast of the hotly anticipated sequel!
Via the release, “Susanne Wuest gained international recognition with Austria’s Oscar submission Antares and is best known for cult horror film Goodnight Mommy. Most recently, she starred in Cannes winner The Sound of Falling and HBO’s “Industry”. She will next appear in Lionsgate’s Orphan 3.”
My best bet is that Wuest will play the mother of the next family that the villainous Esther (Isabelle Fuhrman) plans on infiltrating.
Bell will once again direct, with Orphan: First Kill scribe David Coggeshall returning to write the script.
Fuhrman (returning) first played the role of an adult woman with a growth hormone deficiency as a child actor in 2009. She returned for First Kill in 2022 with the use of trick photography and a body double. Can they pull it off again? We’ll soon see!
Stephen Moyer, Simon Man, Simon Quarterman and Miklós Béres also star.
The latest installment catches up with a con artist who infiltrates a European family only to risk having their secret exposed.
No word at this point on a release date.
