Cole Sprouse to Experience a ‘Hot Year’ with Kathryn Newton & Storm Reid in Coming of Age Revenge Thriller
Actor Cole Sprouse is once again teaming with his Lisa Frankenstein co-star Kathryn Newton for the coming-of-age revenge thriller, Hot Year, reports Deadline.
As far as I’m concerned, the pair had incredible chemistry in the comedic take on Frankenstein. So, I’m already intrigued.
Set against the eerie backdrop of a small Pacific Northwest town during a relentless heatwave, Hot Year follows two childhood best friends whose bond is pushed to the brink after a revenge plan against an ex-boyfriend spirals into a violent incident they can’t take back. Over the course of one feverish night, the pair must navigate the consequences of their actions as buried trauma, loyalty, and identity collide.
The film marks Roxy Sophie Sorkin‘s debut feature.
Storm Reid (The Nun II, The Invisible Man), Dove Cameron (Love Me Dead), J. Smith Cameron (Succession), and Owen Painter (Wednesday) also star.
Production is set to begin in Oklahoma this May.
