‘Backrooms’ Breach Theory: Evidence That Something Escaped Into Reality?

He followed with multiple shorts, commonly referred to as Found Footage #2, #3, and related entries, alongside narrative videos like the Async Research Institute series, which introduced a fictional organization experimenting with dimensional travel.
Across these releases, the videos connect through recurring locations, entities, and the Async storyline, building a shared universe among them. The growing popularity and cohesive narrative led to the announcement of a feature film adaptation, Backrooms, expanding the same universe for a wider audience.
With the Backrooms film arriving in theaters next month, speculation is running wild that there’s evidence that the film is not only canon with the short films but that something escaped into our reality.
