‘Mora’ – Neon Adapting Viral Horror Short into a Full-Length Feature

Sam Evenson has signed on to adapt his viral short horror film Mora into a full-length feature for Neon, reports Variety.

The film “centers around a displaced artist who becomes haunted by a mysterious woman after using an AI model corrupted by dark web images.”

See what happens when you use too much AI, people?

Evenson is the VFX artist and creator behind Grimoire Horror, a genre-based YouTube channel with over 195,000 subscribers. His viral short films have attracted tens of millions of views on YouTube.

Mora will mark Evenson’s feature debut.

Producing alongside Neon are Steven Schneider (The Long Walk) and Roy Lee (Weapons) of Spooky Pictures, Ken Kao and Josh Rosenbaum of Waypoint Entertainment’s Cweature Features (Longlegs), and Jessica Biel and Michelle Purple’s Iron Ocean Productions (Candy). Ben Ross of Image Nation and Addison Sharp of Iron Ocean Productions will executive produce.
