‘Elden Ring’ – A24 Sets 2028 Date for Alex Garland’s Fantasy Epic

Alex Garland‘s (Ex Machina) live-action adaptation of the hit video game, Elden Ring, has been set to release on March 3rd, 2028 from A24, reports Variety this morning.
Based on a story by George R. R. Martin (“Game of Thrones”), the dark fantasy RPG debuted in 2022 and was developed under the direction of FromSoftware’s Hidetaka Miyazaki.
The film stars Kit Connor (Heartstopper), Ben Whishaw (This is Going to Hurt), Cailee Spaeny (Alien: Romulus), Tom Burke (Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga), Havana Rose Liu (Bottoms), Sonoya Mizuno (Ex Machina), Jonathan Pryce (The Crown), Ruby Cruz (Bottoms), Nick Offerman (“The Last of Us”), John Hodgkinson (Napoleon), Jefferson Hall (Oppenheimer), Emma Laird (28 Years Later: The Bone Temple) and Peter Serafinowicz (Guardians of the Galaxy).
Peter Rice is set to produce the film alongside Andrew Macdonald and Allon Reich from DNA, along with George R. R. Martin and Vince Gerardis.
Elden Ring is now in production.
