New ‘Scary Movie’ Clip Features ‘Weapons’, ‘Get Out’ and ‘Sinners’ Jokes

More goodies out of CinemaCon as Paramount Pictures has shared a brand new look at Scary Movie, the sixth entry in the franchise that’s going to make even more money than Scream 6.

According to DiscussingFilm, the clip “includes a 6-7 joke in its ‘Weapons’ parody. A group of kids have a bunch of drugs at 2:17am — “I’m so fucking high right now… 6-7!”

Deadline expands on the details, saying that the footage, “Opens with Ghostface from the Scream films in a Get Out hypnotism sequence with Marlon Wayans, where he floats out into another dimension saying, “I’m high as f*ck!” We also see trick-or-treaters shouting “6-7” getting roped into a Weapons homage, SNL alum Cheri Oteri getting The Substance, Anna Faris whacking a guy out of Smile who is actually a harmless mental patient, a dorky county music performance from the vampires from Sinners, Chris Elliott as Longlegs, and more.”

Adds TheWrap, “TheScary Movie #CinemaCon footage opens with a parody of Get Out, with Ghostface stirring the teacup to get Shorty Meeks in the sinking place. As he sinks, he says, “I’m high as f–k!” A kid does the run from Weapons while repeatedly shouting “6-7!” She then gets hit by a car. There’s a parody of the scene where Remmick sings music at the Juke Joint from Sinners, with the vampires this time singing “The Jeffersons” theme.”

The outlet also reports that Marlon Wayans spoke about the film, saying, “When we say nobody is safe, we are equal opportunity offenders. We mean nobody is safe.”

Apparently, he then pulled out a lengthy scroll of everyone he wants to apologize to. You all, Scary Movie is going to be so fun.

Twenty-six years after outrunning a suspiciously familiar masked killer (Ghostface), the Core Four are back in the killer’s crosshairs and no horror movie IP is safe.

Scary Movie brings back Dave Sheridan as Doofy, Cheri Oteri as Gale, Regina Hall as Brenda, Marlon Wayans as Shorty, and Anna Faris as Cindy.

Marlon Wayans (Shorty), Shawn Wayans (Ray), Anna Faris (Cindy), and Regina Hall (Brenda) reunite in Scary Movie alongside returning favorites and fresh faces to slash through reboots, remakes, requels, prequels, sequels, spin-offs, elevated horror, origin stories, anything with the word legacy in it, and every “final chapter” that absolutely isn’t final. Nothing is sacred. No trope survives. Every line gets crossed. The Wayans are back to cancel the Cancel Culture.

For those keeping count, here are some of the movies lampooned in Scary MovieTerrifier 3, Weapons, Sinners, A Quiet Place, Annabelle, MA, Get Out, The Substance, andM3GAN – shit, it even takes multiple jabs (or stabs, if you will) at the new Scream films, which is the main reason the 2000 Scary Movie is so damn good.

Paramount Pictures will now release Scary Movie in theaters everywhere on June 5, 2026.
