Charli xcx Heads to Japan for Untitled Takashi Miike Horror Project!

Charli xcx is a huge horror fan, and she’s been gearing up for a major genre project over the past year, which is finally coming to fruition.
Charli is teaming up with master of horror Takashi Miike (Audition, Ichi the Killer) on an untitled fish-out-of-water horror film that sends the musician-turned-actor to Japan for a possession story.
Variety reports that the film — written by Ross Evans and currently known as “Untitled Kyoto Project” — follows three friends who meet up in the Japanese city of Kyoto only to see their holiday turn into a nightmare when Charli’s character is possessed by a tortured spirit.
Milly Alcock, the House of the Dragon breakout soon to be seen in Supergirl (pictured below), will join Charli on screen, as will Sho Kasamatsu (Tokyo Vice), Kiko Mizuhara (Ride or Die), and Norman Reedus (The Walking Dead).
The film, being produced by Charli’s company Studio365, is now heading to the European Film Market in Berlin, with The Veterans and CAA Media Finance handling sales.
