Legendary Bringing ‘Gundam’ to Netflix With Sydney Sweeney and Horror Director Jim Mickle!

Huge breaking news courtesy of Deadline, which reports that Legendary’s live-action feature adaptation of Gundam looks to have found a home at Netflix.
Sydney Sweeney and Noah Centineo (Street Fighter) are on board to star with Sweet Tooth director Jim Mickle helming!
Mickle is a horror guy who got his start with the grimy Mulberry Street and vampire film Stake Land, and also the cannibal horror We Are What We Are. He’s very much “one of us,” and I’m excited to see what he does with Gundam.
We all know Sydney Sweeney, but did everyone forget she starred in her “passion project,” Immaculate, for NEON?
The plot is under wraps, but the film will mark the first live-action entry into the Gundam world.
“Gundam is set in the Universal Century, a future where humanity has colonized space. When a rebellion erupts between Earth and its colonies, the ensuing conflict is fought by pilots in massive mechanized contraptions known as mobile suits.”
