A Fan Watched “Stranger Things” on an Actual 1983 TV, and It Was Perfect
Netflix’s decade-long “Stranger Things” has finally concluded, and while I’m looking forward to a break in talking about it nonstop, I’m obsessed with this video where a fan goes full-on nostalgia.
User @latanville busted out an authentic 1983 TV and watched “Stranger Things” on VHS, the same year that the first season is set! The result is a nasty crop, delicious grain, and the removal of that modern stage-y look, giving the whole thing major Steven Spielberg’s E.T. vibes.
It’s also a reminder of just how perfectly cast the show was from the start, and why we fell so hard for these characters in the first place. They’re so damn adorable.
