The Land of the Rising Sun is known for lots of things like used panty vending machines, delicious sushi, and geisha girls. That being said, Japan’s most valuable export is without a doubt Godzilla. You know him, you love him, and now big G is getting celebrated in his homeland like never before.
According to Kotaku, starting July 18 and wrapping up on August 31, the Tokyo Midtown Green and Park will be home to a 1/7 scale Godzilla. The exhibit will come with footprints as well, and the statue will light up and spray mist at night.
Below you can find the concept art along with your first look at the actual statue, which could not possibly be more badass.
If there was ever a time to be a tourist in the Far East, it is now. Radiation exposure will only add to your fun. Bring a Geiger counter and wear a respirator, kids.
