Horror Abroad

Mutants invade France! If you haven’t seen 28 Weeks Later (review) it may be best to skip this paragraph. OK. After witnessing the end of that film, I started to wonder what exactly would the French do if they were faced with a zombie/rage threat? How would such a creatively rich community handle the whole ordeal? We may find out soon.

24 Frames Per Second further opened our eyes to French horror with the fact that there will indeed be a zombie film arriving from that country. Proper zombies? Hard to say when looking at the synopsis: “In a world devastated by a pandemic virus that turns human beings into primitive and bloodthirsty creatures, Marco and Sonia set off to find a secret base to escape from the ‘mutants’. When the latter attack them, Marco is infected too. Little by little, he undergoes the same changes. Sonia, who is expecting a baby, is then forced to fight her worst enemy, the man she loves.

Thousands of miles further East another horror pic is on the rise; this time out of Thailand. The Screen is the name of the film and it has a new poster up at 24 FPS. Not only that, but there was also a link to an English version of The Screen‘s official site where we checked out the creepy trailer. While horror movies from that region may be wearing thin to some genre fans, The Screen was able to pique my interest again. Check it out for yourself.
