From the Press Release
Film Movement, the New York-based film distribution company, announces three new independent films premiering on digital platforms in July.

CANNIBAL, LES APACHES, and I AM YOURS are the latest critically-acclaimed, award-winning independent films to be made available to audiences nationwide.

Erotic thriller CANNIBAL is the chilling, poetic tale of a man who has long been compelled to kill as he slowly awakens to the possibility of human connection and love. Winner of the Goya Award for Best Cinematography, CANNIBAL opens in select theaters nationally on July 25th and will be released day and date on cable and digital premium VOD on July 25th as well. Starring Antonio de la Torre (Pedro Almodóvar’s I’m So Excited), The New York Times calls CANNIBAL, which premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival, “sumptuous!”

In addition to major cable VOD providers (Comcast, TimeWarner, Verizon, etc.), CANNIBAL will be available for rent on platforms including iTunes, Amazon Instant, Google Play, Vudu, Xbox, Playstation, and Samsung the same day it hits select theaters nationwide.

Synopsis
Carlos is the most prestigious tailor in Granada, Spain. His life is a study in details, from the meticulous suits he creates for wealthy clients to the macabre murders he executes in the shadows. He performs these gruesome acts, including dining on the women he kills, without guilt or remorse. When Nina, a beautiful young immigrant from Romania, comes looking for her missing twin sister, she awakens in Carlos a kind of love he’d long since written off. As their relationship builds, based on secrets and deception, Nina’s pure innocence will become undeniable, even by Carlos, a man driven by a dark secret. Cannibal is, in the end, a demon’s love story.
