Writer and director Andrew Bell is crafting a new kind of vampire story with his feature film debut, Bleeding, out now on Screambox and VOD! In Bell’s take, vampire blood is harvested as a drug, and the tables are turned on the creatures that so often hunt for blood.

In a world where vampire blood is harvested as a drug, two desperate teenagers on the run from a vicious dealer break into an empty house and find a sleeping girl locked inside.

“This is a story and issue that’s important to me and our team. These experiences shaped who we are. We set out to make something raw, and powerful, and honest,” said Bell. “We wanted to tell you a story about vampires, but show that the real monsters were there all along, preying on the young, feeding off the people that trusted them most.”
John R. Howley, Jasper Jones, and Tori Wong star in the new vampire film.
Bell also produced and edited Bleeding. Nicholas Payne Santos, Bofan Zhang, and Kenneth Green also produced the film. Daniel Cho lensed the film, and Alex Symcox composed the score.
