‘The Life of Chuck’: Listen To Two Exclusive Tracks From Mike Flanagan’s New Film

Lakeshore Records is set to release The Life of Chuck—Official Soundtrack digitally today, June 6, with music by Andy Grush and Taylor Newton Stewart AKA The Newton Brothers (X-Men ’97). Also included on the album is the song “Joy” by Pocket Queen. The luminescent score provides an uplifting and atmospheric backdrop to the poignant story of the lead character.
From the hearts and minds of Stephen King and Mike Flanagan comes The Life of Chuck, the extraordinary story of an ordinary man. This unforgettable, genre-bending tale celebrates the life of Charles ‘Chuck’ Krantz as he experiences the wonder of love, the heartbreak of loss, and the multitudes contained in all of us.
Note Grush and Stewart: “Working on The Life of Chuck has been one of the most meaningful and emotionally resonant experiences we’ve had in our careers. We wanted the music to feel fragile, sweeping, and full of wonder while also remaining honest and vulnerable. Mike Flanagan, with his unparalleled heart and storytelling intuition, invited us into a world where Stephen King’s words became something universal and deeply personal all at once.”
First up, listen to the Newton Brothers’ “The Sidle of Evening”:
Next, listen to The Pocket Queen’s “Joy”, which serves as the backdrop to the film’s poignant dance scene:
The Life of Chuck opens in select theaters on June 6, 2025, and everywhere on June 13, 2025. Pre-order the album here.
