The filmmakers behind the wildly successful film You’re Next are back with a new project entitled The Guest, and the flick has scored itself distribution via Picturehouse, which is planning a fall release for the film.
You’re Next, V/H/S, V/H/S/2, and A Horrible Way to Die‘s Adam Wingard is directing from a script by Simon Barrett, while Keith Calder and Jessica Wu produce for Snoot Entertainment. The Guest stars Dan Stevens of “Downton Abbey” fame, Maika Monroe, Brendan Meyer, Sheila Kelley, Leland Orser, and Lance Reddick (“American Horror Story,” “Intelligence”).
Synopsis
The film tells the story of a young soldier who arrives on the doorstep of the Peterson family, claiming to be a good friend of their beloved son who died in action. The Petersons welcome David into their home and into their lives, but when people start mysteriously dying in town, mayhem ensues as their teenage daughter, Anna, starts wondering if David is responsible
