Leslie Hope Mothers Her Way Onto Crimson Peak More casting news has come in for Guillermo del Toro’s supernatural spooker Crimson Peak as Leslie Hope, who will appear in Guillermo del Toro’s FX series “The Strain,” has also joined his Legendary/Universal pic Crimson Peak.

She will play the gossipy mother of Charlie Hunnam’s character in the Gothic horror story that also stars Jessica Chastain, Mia Wasikowska, and Tom Hiddleston.

Plot details are unknown; del Toro and Lucinda Coxon penned a rewrite of del Toro and Matthew Robins’ original script.

Del Toro previously described the film as “a very set-oriented, classical but at the same time modern take on the ghost story. It will allow me to play with the conventions of the genre I know and love and at the same time subvert the old rules.”

Look for Crimson Peak in theatres October 16, 2015.
