Rosemary’s Baby has transcended the horror genre in terms of its impact on cinematic history. You don’t have to love horror to appreciate the dreadful beauty of the Bramford or the stellar performance from Mia Farrow. Now, director Natalie Erika James is tackling that world with the prequel film Apartment 7A, which follows Terry, the previous tenant of the infamous apartment and a woman who died by suicide. Here, James gives this faceless character a backstory and autonomy while also delving into the Satanic cult that calls the luxury apartment building home.

Read the full synopsis below:

An ambitious young dancer Terry Gionoffrio dreams of fame and fortune in New York City, but after suffering a devastating injury, an older, wealthy couple welcomes her into their home in the luxury apartment building the Bramford. When fellow resident and influential Broadway producer offers her another chance at fame, it seems that all her dreams are finally coming true. However, after an evening she can’t fully remember, disturbing circumstances soon have her second-guessing the sacrifices she’s willing to make for her career as she realizes that something evil is living not only in Apartment 7A, but in the Bramford itself.

In honor of the film’s release, we have an exclusive clip that teases the hallucinatory hell that plagues Terry while living in the Bramford.
