A Pair of New Photos from Bates Motel Season 2

Our favorite guilty pleasure on TV, “Bates Motel,” returns to A&E on March 3rd so of course the promo wheel is starting to turn. On tap right now are two new stills from Season 2 featuring Mother of the Year Norma Bates.
The smaller image is from TV Guide and gives us our first look at new cast member Michael Vartan, who arrives in Episode 2.03 as the recently divorced George. “He’s everything she ever hoped for in a man,” Vera Farmiga (Norma) says of her new love interest.
“She’s finally finding some stability with a partner after a pretty bad track record,” Vartan says of his their romance. “Hopefully she won’t mess it up.” The two meet at a party thrown by George’s sister, who’s trying to play matchmaker. “He is immediately taken by Norma and is very intrigued by how mysterious she is,” Vartan says. “We go on a double date with the sister and her husband, and Norma struggles to fit in.”
Will George take a dark turn? Vartan says, “Before I accepted the job, I asked the producers, ‘Be honest with me. He’s going to turn out to be a complete psycho, right?’ And they said, ‘Sorry. He’s just a really nice guy with no weird skeletons in his closet.’” But he adds, “I know George lives in a gigantic house and has a lot of money, but I never found out his last name or what he does for a living so stay tuned to see if Norma’s happiness collapses.”

Photo No. 2 is courtesy of this week’s Entertainment Weekly and again shows Norma with one of the men in her life, this time son Dylan (Max Thieriot).
Joining series regulars Freddie Highmore (Norman), Vera Farmiga (Norma), Max Thieriot (Dylan), Olivia Cooke (Emma), Nicola Peltz (Bradley), and Nestor Carbonell (Sheriff Romero) in Season 2 are newcomers Kathleen Robertson, Rebecca Creskoff, Kenny Johnson, Paloma Kwiatkowski, and Michael Vartan.
