‘The Behemoth’ Exclusive Photos: New Cult Thriller Wraps Filming
Cosmic horror fans and cult thriller lovers rejoice, because Kai E. Bogatzki‘s eldritch nightmare The Behemoth has wrapped filming and has entered post-production! To whet our appetites, Dread Central has more exclusive, and bloody, photos from the upcoming cult thriller.
In the film,
Ryan and Rebecca are on holiday in the mountains. They check into an Airbnb flat that belongs to Christine. Suddenly, a mysterious sect called “The Servants of Blood”, led by their priest Malek, appears in the mountain village. Their goal is to revive an ancient god through which humanity will die out and “The Servants of Blood” will come to eternal life.
Previously, Bogatzki told Dread Central, “I see [The Behemoth] as a mix of classic H.P. Lovecraft elements and modern horror like Evil Dead (2013) or Evil Dead Rise.”

These photos already showcase some of the bloody effects work by Philipp Ratgeber, who previously collaborated with Bogatzki on Bogatzki’s feature film debut, Scars of Xavier. Lucas Blank, who lensed Scars of Xavier, serves as cinematographer for The Behemoth.
Ryan Wichert (The Queen’s Gambit), Sarah Dawes (Shadow Peak), Johnny Vivash (How to Kill Monsters), Beatrice Fletcher (Croc!), Max Evans (Blood Feast), and Wilfried Capet (Blood Feast) star in the film.
