Les Revenants (The Returned) Wins International Emmy Award for Best Drama Series

A few days ago we told you that Sundance is airing a marathon of “The Returned” (“Les Revenants”) in December, and in case you need more reasons to tune in, how about the fact that the show just won an International Emmy?

The International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences announced the winners of the 41st International Emmy Awards Monday night, November 25th, at a Gala event attended by over 1,000 international television professionals and hosted by John Oliver at the New York Hilton.

A small mountain community is rocked to its core when several local people who are presumed dead suddenly reappear at their homes. Despite having passed away some years earlier, these ghostly characters appear in human form, they have not aged, and they are completely unaware of their own fatality. Determined to reclaim their lives and start over, they slowly come to realize that they are not the only ones to have been brought back from the dead.
