Scream Series Heading into Supernatural Territory

Remember back when everyone was comparing I Know What You Did Last Summer to Scream? During its franchise run the infamous hook-wielding killer, The Fisherman, turned from human to zombie. Could Ghostface be heading toward the same supernatural themed fate?

During the Zurich Film Festival, Harvey Weinstein told the audience that there’s no overlap between the series and the film franchise, adding that the series, which is currently being adapted by Jay Beattie and Dan Dworkin, “is supposed to represent a new beginning and also pursue a supernatural direction.”

Not sure what that means, but we’re fairly certain we won’t be seeing a “Supernatural” crossover with Sam and Dean. Will Ghostface be a ghost? How does that sit with you guys? Tell us below.
