NBC Bringing John Constantine to the Small ScreenDC Comics character John Constantine was first brought off the page in 2005, when Keanu Reeves played him in the feature length film Constantine. Now he’s looking to kick ass on a smaller screen. Read on for details.

As reported by Deadline, Warner Bros. TV and DC Comics have just sold NBC on a TV series based on the character, which will share the title of the 2005 film. “Constantine” will be written and executive produced by Daniel Cerone and David S. Goyer.

The Constantine comics center on John Constantine, an enigmatic and irreverent con man-turned-reluctant supernatural detective who is thrust into the role of defending us against dark forces from beyond.

The character is also rumored to be appearing in Warner Bros.’ upcoming Justice League Dark, which Guillermo Del Toro is working on.
