Ultra-Indie Daily Dose: The Baby In Yellow Will Make You Need To Change Your Diapy As Well
Hello, you glorious gluttons for all things indie horror! Are you just starving for the newest of the new, the most unknownest of the unknown? If so, you’ve come to the right place. Welcome to the Ultra-Indie Daily Dose! In this series, we’re going to pick a new game every day from an indie horror creator you’ve probably never heard of. No million-dollar budgets or factory productions. This is the space for the little guy with not but a developer toolkit and a dream. So if you’re down to roll the dice on something different, then stick around and check it out!
For today’s Daily Dose, we have a nice game about raising a child. Or rather, assisting with raising a child. In The Baby In Yellow, created by Team Terrible for GMTK Jam 2020, you take the role of an ordinary babysitter. Unfortunately, this is no ordinary baby.
Even the most battle-hardened babysitters would think twice before sitting this baby again. In The Baby In Yellow, you must do it five nights in a row. The baby starts out mild-mannered enough, though its unsettlingly massive red eyes certainly give off some not-so-good vibes. Almost immediately you will notice something is amiss, and as the nights roll on, the baby reveals just how much you’re not getting paid enough for this gig.
The Baby In Yellow will probably take you around 10 minutes to beat. To try it for yourself, you can download it for free on itch.io by clicking here.
