Help Fund Short Story Anthology Cadaver Bone to Benefit Good Cause

Typically when someone takes to a fundraising platform like IndieGoGo, it’s to raise money so that they can make a film or a product that they can’t afford to make themselves. But this campaign’s a little bit different and the money raised from it is going towards a much better cause than usual.
Writer and video game designer Chris Pramas has a pinched nerve in his neck and he has to undergo a double spine fusion operation in order to fix it. The founder and president of Green Ronin Publishing cannot afford to pay for the operation, and his insurance will only cover roughly $50,000 of the $60,000 total cost.
Rather than asking his fans for money to help pay his out of pocket expense for the operation, he decided to instead reach out to author friends of his to put together an anthology of brand new short stories, 17 tales from award-winning writers which he has collected together in an e-book called Cadaver Bone: A Dark Fantasy Anthology. Quite the fitting name, given the surgeons will be installing a bone from a cadaver in his neck!
The book is already finished, and a $15 donation to the campaign serves as a purchase of it, with smaller level donations netting you other goodies. With 27 days still left, nearly $9,000 of the $10,000 goal has already been raised, which kind of restores my faith in humanity a bit.
To see the full list of all-star writers who contributed to the anthology, and learn more about Pramas’ plight, check out the Cadaver Bone campaign on IndieGoGo and please do consider pitching in to help out!
