You Don’t Want To Miss The #1 Horror Movie On Prime Video: “It’s unpredictable and unsettling”

The Passenger Hulu

We love it when great movies hit streamers and find a larger audience. That’s the case for this intense 2023 genre entry we’re all rooting for. The Passenger is the #1 horror movie on Prime Video, as it should be. Allow me to elaborate on why you need to stop what you’re doing and watch this movie immediately.

In the film,

“Randy (Johnny Berchtold) is perfectly content fading into the background. But when his coworker Benson (Kyle Gallner) goes on a sudden and violent rampage leaving a trail of destruction in his wake, Randy is forced to face his fears and confront his troubled past to survive.”

The Passenger was directed by Carter Smith, who also directed the queer body horror Swallowed, released earlier last year. It was written by Jack Stanley. The film stars Kyle Gallner, Johnny Berchtold, Liza Weil, Billy Slaughter, Matthew Laureano, Jordan Sherley, and Kanesha Washington.

Viewers are still shaken by Kyle Gallner’s performance in the film and praising the chemistry between him and Johnny Berchtold. Meanwhile, fans who managed to compose themselves and rewatch it are now able to notice more design details.

This is one of the times we have to agree with Twitter. Dread Central’s own Editor-in-Chief, Mary Beth McAndrews, wrote about Gallner’s performance in her review:

“Gallner’s performance as Benson is perfection. Gallner is a contemporary horror staple and here his acting chops really shine. In The Passenger, Gallner is given the space to show off his emotional range and just how terrifying he can be, while also giving off a strange warmth.”

The Passenger

I think this is possibly the most slept-on movie of 2023. I’m telling everyone to watch it while it’s on Prime Video. Let me know if you’ve already taken this tense ride with The Passenger at @misssharai.
