The New Godzilla TV Series Is Stomping all Over the Streaming Charts: “It’s perfection”

This December seemingly belongs to the Kaiju fans. Godzilla Minus One still has the box office shaking and the internet quaking. Meanwhile, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters continues to pulverize the small screen. This monster of a series is still the #1 title on the Apple TV+ charts, and it doesn’t look like it’ll be going anywhere without a fight. Let’s get to know this new MonsterVerse entry better, shall we?

The Official Apple TV+ Synopsis

“Following the thunderous battle between Godzilla and the Titans that leveled San Francisco and the shocking revelation that monsters are real, Monarch: Legacy of Monsters tracks two siblings following in their father’s footsteps to uncover their family’s connection to the secretive organization known as Monarch. Clues lead them into the world of monsters and ultimately down the rabbit hole to Army officer Lee Shaw (played by Kurt Russell and Wyatt Russell), taking place in the 1950s and half a century later where Monarch is threatened by what Shaw knows. The dramatic saga — spanning three generations — reveals buried secrets and the ways that epic, earth-shattering events can reverberate through our lives.”

The series stomped onto the scene on November 17th. Viewers can catch new episodes every Friday on Apple TV+.

Twitter continues pointing out how casting Wyatt Russell and Kurt Russell as the same character at different ages allows the show to miss out on questionable de-aging technology. However, they are also celebrating the new lesbian couple who have entered the MonsterVerse.
