Filmmaker Yorgos Lanthimos has teamed up with producer Emma Stone to birth Poor Things, the latest from the director’s wild mind. Bella Baxter, played by Stone, runs off to see the world with dissolute lawyer Duncan Wedderburn, played by Mark Ruffalo, after having been resurrected by Dr. Godwin Baxter, played by Willem Dafoe.
Between Dogtooth, The Killing of a Sacred Deer, The Lobster, and now Poor Things, have you ever wondered what the hell goes on inside the mind of Yorgos Lanthimos? In celebration of the Poor Things film release, Searchlight Pictures has announced the official opening of the “Salon of Seduction” experience taking over Maison Premiere in Brooklyn for a limited time December 6th-December 10th. The immersive experience will invite guests to step into the electrifying world of Poor Things from Yorgos Lanthimos, starring and produced by Emma Stone. The “Salon of Seduction” is inspired by the captivating life of the film’s heroine, Bella and will feature peep-show style booths, hand-crafted cocktails from Fords Gin, delectable and savory bites, electrifying performances and other surprises from the film. Fans will be able to commemorate the experience in an exciting photo op and takeaway exclusive gifting items inspired by the film.
