‘Behold!’ Trailer: Religious Horror Meets Divorce Drama
From the team who brought us Curse of Aurore comes a new kind of religious horror with Behold! But this time instead of diving into the world of found footage, director Mehran C. Torgoley and co-writer Llana Barron are diving into religious horror with their latest film.
Read the full synopsis below:
Rebecca and her husband, Reverend Peter, have been separated for months following a tragic event. Alone in their stately home, Rebecca has become a shell of her former self. She suffers from severe depression, drinks too much, and can’t seem to get her life together. She believes fixing the marriage is the solution.
Everything changes when Peter shows up with divorce papers, setting off an emotional explosion that gets interrupted by the appearance of a foreboding, otherworldly presence. Disturbing secrets and lies from the past are brought to light as Rebecca and Peter attempt to confront the mysterious presence from beyond.
The team has completed the first cut of the film, and needs some help getting it across the finish line. So, they’re currently raising funds on Indiegogo to help with post-production.
Curious about what the film looks like? Watch the trailer below:
This is a personal project for Barron, who not only produced and co-wrote the film, but also stars as Rebecca. According to the film’s Indiegogo, Barron “is very passionate about religious trauma awareness as one who has dealt with it first hand. Her unique experience has brought a level of passion and gravity to Behold! that shines through the beautiful noir footage we captured.”
