“Steve Clark (James Marsden) is a newcomer in the town of Cradle Bay, and he quickly realizes that there’s something odd about his high school classmates. The clique known as the “Blue Ribbons” are the eerie embodiment of academic excellence and clean living. But, like the rest of the town, they’re a little too perfect. When Steve’s rebellious friend Gavin (Nick Stahl) mysteriously joins their ranks, Steve searches for the truth with fellow misfit Rachel (Katie Holmes).”

Disturbing Behavior was directed by David Nutter. It was written by Scott Rosenberg and C.O. Erickson. It stars James Marsden, Katie Holmes, Nick Stahl, Bruce Greenwood, Katharine Isabelle, Ethan Embry, and William Sadler. 

Most of Twitter is just happy to see one of the horror movies that defined our tween years resurface. Others are gleefully pointing out how the movie flopped among critics but is one of the best teen sci-fi movies of the 90s.

I’ve been deeply into this movie since I rented it as a child. It has so many 90s actors I was obsessed with. The soundtrack is pure nostalgia, and it made many of us feel seen right when we needed it the most.
