There’s nothing like adding a little terror to an overly joyous event, and we can only hope that as soon as the anime kids finish dancing annoyingly in the aisle, they’ll look up for a grim reminder from Lionsgate. Ah, yes! That’s the good stuff!
Check out some cool new You’re Next banner art on display at SDCC, and remember that on Thursday, July 18th (that’s TODAY), at 11:30 am PT, the You’re Next train continues with the horror-themed Masters of the Web panel in Room 24ABC with both director Adam Wingard and writer Simon Barrett taking their turns as moderators with AMC’s John Campea hosting the event. This year’s Masters of the Web panelists include Ryan Turek (ShockTillYouDrop.com), Evan Dickson (Bloody-Disgusting.com), Grae Drake (RottenTomatoes.com), Lawrence Raffel (FEARnet.com), James “Jimmy O” Oster (JoBlo.com), and DC’s Heather Wixson.
The Adam Wingard-directed film stars Nick Tucci, Wendy Glenn, AJ Bowen, Joe Swanberg, Margaret Laney, Amy Seimetz, Ti West, Calvin Reeder, Larry Fessenden, Kate Lyn Sheil, Barbara Crampton, Rob Moran, and Sharni Vinson.
Look for it in theaters on August 23rd.
Synopsis:
The Davison family comes under attack from a terrifying group of sadistic murderers during a family reunion getaway. Barricaded in their secluded vacation home, they fight off a barrage of axes, crossbows, and machetes from both inside and outside the house. However, the masked killers didn’t count on Erin (Vinson), the young girlfriend of the eldest Davison son whose mysterious past has made her very difficult to kill.
