Cryptic Triptych Exclusive Trailer: Three Tales Of Existential Terror

Cryptic Triptych

Anthology films have been one of the most popular subgenres of horror ever since George Romero’s Creepshow. Since then, horror fans have been eating multi-pack thrillers from the found-footage treasure trove of the V/H/S franchise to Halloween must-watches like Trick ‘r Treat. The appeal is obvious. After all, why settle for one chilling fable when you can get multiple for the price of just one ticket?

That’s why Bangladeshi-American Muslim genre filmmaker Fatima Hye is making Cryptic Triptych. Her art horror anthology encompasses everything from cautionary tales of AI to punk-rock-themed matricide.

Here’s the official synopsis:

An art horror anthology featuring 3 stories done in 3 styles: Adoratum Technica, a chilling sci-fi story where an artist falls tragically in love with his AI sculpture. The Sound of Her Voice, a creepy psychodrama where a young goth artist finds it not so easy to get rid of his overbearing mother. And Graybeard, a gothic storybook short where two innocent siblings try to escape from a child killer.

Hye produced Cryptic Triptych with grants from the Austin Film Society and shot all three episodes in her native Houston, Texas. Each segment was filmed by a different cinematographer, crafting three visually distinct cinematic nightmares.

Cryptic Triptych‘s release date will be announced in the future. You can also see the initial teaser trailer and poster. Follow the official Black Revel Production social media accounts for updates and Behind the Scenes content.
