Today, Paramount+ gifted us an official trailer and key art for the upcoming Pet Sematary: Bloodlines. The prequel, based on an untold chapter from Stephen King’s original novel, tells the story of a young Jud Crandall, his brother, and the evil that haunts Ludlow. This new take on one of King’s most terrifying novels is the directorial debut for Lindsey Anderson Beer.

From the looks of the trailer, this film may try to reckon with this property’s uneven past in terms of Indigenous representation and the use of sacred burial grounds as a site of horror.
Jackson White (Mrs. Fletcher), Forrest Goodluck (The Revenant), Jack Mulhern (Mare of Easttown), Henry Thomas (The Fall of the House of Usher), Natalie Alyn Lind (The Goldbergs), Isabella Star LaBlanc (True Detective: Night Country), and Samantha Mathis (BILLIONS) star in the film with Pam Grier (Jackie Brown) and David Duchovny (The X-Files).
Pet Sematary: Bloodlines premieres on Friday, October 6, exclusively on Paramount+ in the U.S., Canada, Latin America and Brazil.
