Do You Want To Play The ‘Elevator Game’? [Trailer]

Rebekah McKendry is right back in the director’s chair with her latest film Elevator Game. Written by Travis Seppala, this take on urban legend horror delves into the actual online phenomenon of the same name.

Read the full synopsis:

Elevator Game follows socially awkward teenager Ryan, who ingratiates himself into a group of recent high school graduates that run an online web series debunking urban legends. But Ryan has a secret: His sister disappeared months earlier, and he believes they—and a dangerous online challenge called ‘The Elevator Game’—were responsible. To play the game, you must ride the elevator in a specific sequence, invoking a supernatural creature called ‘The 5th Floor Woman’.

In an attempt to gain more information as to the whereabouts of his sister, Ryan persuades the group to play the game once more, and risk unleashing the most fearsome consequences imaginable.

Just last year, McKendry directed the Shudder original film Glorious, a cosmic horror take on glory holes and heartbreak. This time, she seems to be taking more of a gateway horror route, and we’re excited to see what she’s created.

Gino Anania, Verity Marks, Alec Carlos, Nazariy Demkowicz, Madison MacIsaac, Liam Stewart-Kanigan, and Megan Best star in the film.

Elevator Game comes to Shudder on September 15, 2023.
