The Most Watched Horror Movie On Hulu For The Month Was A Parent’s Nightmare

This genre entry has had the charts in a chokehold for most of the last two months. We love to see a new indie horror movie claim the top spot so often. We also love when all those days add up so it can walk out of the month as the overall winner. The #1 horror movie on Hulu last month was The Offering.

Synopsis

In the wake of a young Jewish girl’s disappearance, the son of a Hasidic funeral director returns home with his pregnant wife in hopes of reconciling with his father. Little do they know that directly beneath them in the family morgue, an ancient evil with sinister plans for the unborn child lurks inside a mysterious corpse.

The Offering was directed by Oliver Park. It was written by Hank Hoffman and Jonathan Yunger. The film stars Nick Blood, Emily Wiseman, and Paul Kaye.

We love to see horror movies centered on a Jewish family. We’re happy it’s doing so well because hopefully, it’ll signal we need more of it today. Also, very here for original indie films cleaning up the charts.

We’ve been quietly cheering for this movie since it landed on our radar. Every week it snatched the crown has felt like a victory.

We have already seen this movie and are looking toward Oliver Park’s next project. However, if you have not taken the plunge yet, watch the trailer below.
