‘Alice In Terrorland’ Exclusive Image Shows Alice Isn’t Afraid To Get A Little Bloody

Writer and director Richard John Taylor kindly provided Dread Central with an exclusive image from Alice in Terrorland, his upcoming horror-themed reimagining of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. The image can be viewed below, and it shows actress Lizzy Willis as a blood-drenched Alice, who also happens to be brandishing a large kitchen knife.

It goes without saying that Taylor’s adaptation of Lewis Carroll’s classic novel will be one of the darkest and most harrowing interpretations of Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland to date. Despite being aimed at children, the novel was filled with enough freakish and often downright disturbing imagery to make it almost seem like a perfect match for a more horror-focused film adaptation. So Alice in Terrorland will definitely be appreciated by anyone who cherishes the book.

In addition to Willis, the cast of Alice in Terrorland will also include Leone Kessel, Steve Wraith, and cult actress Rula Lenska. Filming is now underway in Germany, and distributor High Fliers Films will announce a release date in the near future. Taylor has also directed a large number of previous films, including The Krays: Dead Man Walking, Vengeance, Muse, The Haunting of Pendle Hill, and The Winter Witch.

We also recently learned that Taylor is also currently working on a new adaptation of The Picture of Dorian Gray, which was recently filmed in Italy.
