Stephen King Says The #1 Thriller On Netflix Is “Just terrific” And “So sharp it could cut your skin”
Like the rest of us, Stephen King seems to spend a good amount of time on Netflix. He also seems to have a finger on the pulse of political thrillers, which is fair because he did give us The Dead Zone and 11/22/63, after all. So, it’s always a fun surprise when his new favorite find is climbing the charts.
When Uncle King tweeted that the #1 show on Netflix has “Dialogue so sharp it could cut your skin,” we listened. It seems the internet agrees with King because The Diplomat is the highest charting show on the streamer for the second week in a row. See what the horror hero has to say about the series below.
The Diplomat was created by Debora Cahn and stars Keri Russell, Pearl Mackie, Rufus Sewell, David Gyasi, and Rory Kinnear. The show hit Netflix on April 20th.

Kate Wyler is the new US Ambassador to the United Kingdom. She was supposed to go to Afghanistan. She’s great in a crisis zone. In a historic home…less so. War is brewing on one continent and boiling over on another. Kate will have to diffuse international crises, forge strategic alliances in London, and adjust to her new place in the spotlight — all while trying to survive her marriage to fellow career diplomat and political star Hal Wyler.
We’re all a little obsessed with Keri Russell and are planning to make this show our new personalities. However, if you’re not sure you want on this bandwagon, you should check out the trailer below.
