This #1 Netflix Thriller Is A “Girl-gang vigilante bloodbath”
Our new queen premiered at SXSW two weeks ago. Because there is no rest for the wicked, she landed on Netflix kicking ass this weekend and is now our #1 thriller in Films (Non-English) on the streamer. Furies is punching its way into our hearts, one assassin at a time.
In the film, a mysterious woman trains a trio of girls to take revenge on a criminal gang that abuses females. The three lady warriors risk everything to challenge this corrupt empire.
Furies is directed by Veronica Ngô. It’s co-written by Nha Uyen Ly Nguyen, Veronica Ngô, and Nguyen Truong Nhan. The film stars Veronica Ngo, Rima Thanh Vy, Toc Tien, and Dong Anh Quynh.
This is the first Netflix original film from Vietnam. It is also the prequel to Furie (2019).
Twitter is raving about the action, badass women leads, and the surge of adrenaline this Netflix movie is giving us all. They are also here for Veronica Ngô’s direction, writing, and acting. Many viewers are comparing it to John Wick for all the right reasons.

I caught this thriller at SXSW and lived my best life. I’m happy it’s on Netflix so everyone else can watch it now. However, it does need a major content warning for sexual assault. That being said I cannot remember the last time I saw a movie that delivered so much girl power and violence. Check out the trailer below to get a glimpse of what I am talking about.
