Renegade Film Festival 2023 Returns to Atlanta

Renegade Film Festival

For those Blood Babes that find themselves in Atlanta, Georgia March 2 – 4, I have an event to share that might interest you. Organized by director Vanessa Ionta Wright, the Renegade Film Festival is ready to return for 2023!

About the event, Wright says:

““We are so excited to be back with two full days of movies and mayhem. This fest has become a revolution in independent film, breaking down barriers and shattering those glass ceilings. I’m so proud of all the renegades who have chosen to use their voice to create such thought-provoking content.”

The Renegade Film Festival is going to have indie-horror gushing out of its veins, with six feature films and 45 short films being screened — including The Once and Future Smash, Give Me an A, and many more!

Wright further states that “76% of the films screening in March are directed by women, BIPOC, and members of the LGBTQIA+ community.” To this, I say — fuck yeah!

“Transparency matters and we stand behind our mission 100%. This festival is a microcosm of how the film industry needs to be…equal, representative and inclusive.”

The event will be held at the Earl Smith Strand Theatre, with tickets available online on the festival’s official website here or at the theatre’s box office.

Also, there’s going to be a special screening of Black Lake — the director’s cut — with a Q&A session with director K/XI, hosted by Hellbent for Horror’s S.A. Bradley. You can purchase tickets for this event here.

Until next time…

Ciao, friends!
