Body Horror Meets Beauty in ‘Woman of the Photographs’ Exclusive Clip

In his feature film debut, Woman of the Photographs, which is being released by Dread, director Takeshi Kushida shows off his eyes for aesthetics. Lighting is as much as a character as our two main characters, playing and reflecting in ways that seem as if they were perfectly choreographed. Kushia also deftly weaves together body horror with sensuality as the film’s central relationship unfolds.
In Woman of the Photographs:
Solitary and skilled photographer Kai is afraid of women. When he encounters a beautiful model, Kyoko suffering from body dysmorphia, they begin a twisted romance. Kai is determined to save Kyoko from her anguishes, even if it means death to himself.
