New ‘Children of the Corn’ Reboot Is Now Headed To Theaters

RLJE Films will finally release the latest Children of the Corn reboot in theaters on March 3, 2023 and followed by On Demand and Digital on March 21, 2023.

Directed and written by Kurt Wimmer (Ultraviolet), Children of the Corn is based upon the short story “Children of the Corn” by Stephen King and stars Elena Kampouris (Before I Fall), Kate Moyer (Station Eleven), Callan Mulvey (The Gray Man) and Bruce Spence (The Road Warrior).

In the film, “‘Possessed by a spirit in a dying cornfield, a twelve-year-old girl in Nebraska recruits the other children in her small town to go on a bloody rampage and kill all the adults and anyone else who opposes her. A bright high schooler who won’t go along with the plan is the town’s only hope of survival.”

This latest version of Children of the Corn has been sitting on the shelf for years, so it’s fascinating to see that’s it finally being released. We will keep you updated when a trailer and poster are unleashed.

The original run of films began in 1984 with Children of the Corn and continued through Children of the Corn: Runaway in 2018. This won’t be the first remake of the property as Donald P. Borchers wrote and directed a reboot of the Stephen King classic back in 2009.
