Lee Isaac Chung Is Set To Direct The Long-Awaited ‘Twister’ Sequel

Buckle up because we’re getting a follow-up to the classic 1996 film Twister. The sequel, Twisters, the screenplay is being written by Mark L. Smith, who co-wrote the adapted screenplay of Alejandro G. Iñárritu’s The Revenant. Lee Isaac Chung will direct this long-awaited sequel to the action-drama-disaster film that had all of us kids in the midwest concerned during our formative years. Chung is most well known for his Oscar-nominated film, Minari.

For those who need a refresher, the original film followed Bill and Jo Harding, advanced storm chasers on the brink of divorce, who must join together to create an advanced weather alert system by putting themselves in the cross-hairs of extremely violent tornadoes.
