rz - Rob Zombie Moving on From the Horror GenreSome interesting news is coming in from Rob Zombie that’s likely going to have some fans protesting and others falling to their knees and thanking the heavens above. Sounds like the rocker turned filmmaker is done with making horror movies.

The Phoenix New Times asked Zombie if he ever plans on doing another monster movie. Zombie’s response:

“No. I’m not really thinking of doing anything… Lords of Salem is my last sort of horror-genre related film for a really long time.”

Seriously, though, we’d take that with a grain of salt as Zombie is notorious for saying one thing and then doing another. This was the guy who swore he’d never do a remake after all. One thing’s for sure: For better or worse Rob does his own thing regardless of what anyone says, and we at least have to give him credit for that.

Time will tell.

  1. I think it will hinge on how well his Broadstreet Bullies film is received. If it is a huge flop then nobody will be willing to finance him on anything other than genre films.

  2. His next movie is just going to be 90 minutes of topless Suicide Girls dancing awkwardly to cheesy rockabilly metal with random inserts of weird images.
